Mero has served in senior management level capacity for numerous government agencies with responsibility for fiscal analysis, managerial performance and evaluation.

Recently for five (5) years, under contract with the State of Connecticut Office of Policy and Management (OPM), and the Capitol City Economic Development Authority (CCEDA), she served as an independent contract compliance officer responsible for monitoring Project Compliance with State law relating to the set-aside program for small and minority owned businesses.

Incorporating community commitments and outreach activities as components to hiring qualified minorities for the Rentschler Field Project (East Hartford) and the Adriaen's Landing Project ( Hartford ), OPM and CCEDA met defined hiring objectives. Currently, Mero is the Planning and Development Manager for Nutmeg Planners, LLC.
